A carbonless copy manufacturer implemented a
bonus
plan for the hourly employees. But if an employee
had a
lost time accident (LTA) or OSHA recordable (stitches
or worse)
money was deducted from the bonus. The Salaried
employees
were penalized by bad reviews if an LTA or OSHA
recordable
was filed. The PACE union did not object to the
manufacturer
penalizing the employees.
This same manufacturer was asked by several
employees
if the carbonless copy paper manufactured at their
plant
contained Formaldehyde. The employees were told
the
company's carbonless copy paper did not contain Formaldehyde. *
* All the patents used and referenced by this
manufacturer
have Formaldehyde as an ingredient or in a
component.
